Amazing! He was looking for a church much like you describe. He found too much "college-oriented" ministry. He wanted a family church like ours at home. Maybe it isn't there anymore or maybe you have to grow up in the church for it to feel that way...but, I don't think so. It is difficult. At one point, he tried a Free-Will Baptist Church down the road. He said it wasn't...free-will, that is. Good luck! Joel never found a church in College Station the whole time he was there! Amazing!
