Here is an example of my poor cursive handwriting which I believe is due to a flaw in the English language. Who’s bright idea was it for our language to move from left to right? God was a lefty you know – which is why Hebrew goes from right to left, so he doesn’t smear the ink with His hand…

I do get compliments on my “rockstar-ish” signature. I should have been a doctor.

I can’t remember how to write in cursive. I can’t remember the last time I NEEDED to write in cursive. I still remember the basics but I was about to write a thank you note and as I was practicing on a scratch piece of paper I realized that I couldn’t for the life of me remember how to write a cursive lowercase ‘f’. So I said, screw it. It was looking like a 3rd grader penned it anyway so I think I’ll stick with printing. So if you ever get anything from me that is hand printed instead of in cursive it’s because I wanted you to be able to read it.

This weekend was action packed. I don’t have any pictures because I don’t own a camera (that’s not true – I don’t have a DIGITAL camera). Abbey moved WAY down the alphabet through marriage on Saturday moving from an Abt to a Wilson. I got a chance to finally meet Brett and he’s a great guy. I was on his team for the pre-wedding scavenger hunt so we had a chance to “hang out”. And by “hang out” I mean dress up in women’s clothing at Goodwill. I have a really bad feeling that those pictures are going to somehow make their way to the Internet – oh well. It’s odd, the things I’m not afraid to do when compared to the things that I am afraid to do…

So remember when I said my homegroup sort of turned into a band? Well here we are, “Smooth Cookies”. Coley, our home group leader (not picture, nor is he in the band) would say something was “smooth cookies” when he thought it was cool or something. You know what, we really don’t know WHAT he means when he says it – we thought it was funny, and random so when we had to put our band’s name on the chalkboard we decided to go by Smooth Cookies.
